    The System
  1. A specially configured Dog Gone Alert telephone number is assigned to a neighborhood.

  2. Anyone who registers with the Dog Gone Alert system is able to send, receive and respond to missing pet text message alerts.

  3. Alert messages are sent out from the Dog Gone Alert phone number. User's phone number is always kept private

  4. Text message alerts go out to all registered users is the particular neighborhood where the pet went missing.

  5. A new chat room is created whenever a pet goes missing. This is where users can respond to the alert and track the progress of the search.


The Users
  • Pet owners and animal lovers (AKA Users) register for the Dog Gone Alert service. They sign up by simply texting "@register" to the Dog Gone Alert number

  • Once registered, the user's cell phone will be authorized to send and receive lost pet text message alerts within their registered neighborhood.

  • All responses to a missing pet alert takes place in a web based chat room. Users will NOT BE bombarded with text messages from people responding to an alert.

  • Users may opt-out of getting alerts at any time if they move out of the neighborhood or no longer wishes to participate.


    1. The Owner / Operator
    2. Sign up for opportunity to operate the Dog Gone Alert service in a particular neighborhood. Receive a Dog Gone Alert telephone number and a Owner ID number.

    3. Get people in the neighborhood to register for the service for $12 per year ($1/month), or offer the service for free if you have sponsors.

    4. Collect the payment, and instruct customer/user to sign up by texting "@register" to the Dog Gone alert number, customer will receive a link to the order form where they will be required to enter the Owner ID Number.

    5. Successfully registered users will receive a text message with instructions, and an email confirmation of the order.

    6. Owner also receives an email confirmation of the order.

    7. Owner keeps 100% of the fees collected from users/subscribers. However, owners pay a flat setup and monthly fee.
